Yameen, who was reported missing by his family on July 14, is now believed to have jumped from the Sinamalé Bridge, according to Maldives Police.
He had been missing since July 11. CCTV footage obtained by police shows what appears to be Yameen jumping from the Sinamalé Bridge around midnight on July 13. The family has reportedly viewed the footage and confirmed his identity.
Search efforts are ongoing by the Maldives Police and Coast Guard, but no body has been recovered yet.
Authorities say the investigation will continue as they search surrounding waters and review further evidence.
